Breast Cancer Screening is NOT Prevention

For how many decades will modern medicine keep talking about screening—as if that’s the only way to prevent breast cancer? In truth, screening for tumors is not the same as preventing them, and even a child can see the difference. Yet this misconception has been sold to millions of women worldwide, making us believe that there’s nothing we can do except wait for a tumor to appear.
This blog will finally break that myth—once and for all.
Because here’s what every woman is silently crying out:
We don’t just want to detect cancer—we want to prevent it.
So stop telling us to screen. Start telling us how to protect ourselves, our sisters, our daughters, and the generations of women to come. Stop telling us vague things about “lifestyle” and “genetics.” Tell us exactly what we should and shouldn’t do.
i hear you loud and clear.
Current statistics in USA

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in females in the world. In fact, 1 out of 8 women have the risk of developing breast cancer in the USA today. Millions of women suffer from it, and the incidence of breast cancer rises every year, i.e., the newly diagnosed cases are only increasing. As of Jan 2020, we have 3.5 million women suffering from breast cancer in the USA alone. It is undoubtedly the number 1 killer of women.
The treatment options that we have are surgery, which includes lumpectomy or mastectomy followed by radiation and chemotherapy and hormonal therapy. Millions of dollars are being invested in finding new drugs and modes of treatment as we speak. Every year the pharmaceutical companies come out with a new set of drugs for clinical trials. The Government and private sector have invested heavily by developing Breast Cancer (BC) research and development centers, BC support groups and interventions, BC oncology groups, BC reconstructive surgery group in plastic surgery, BC marathons and many more such foundations to show its support for the women.
Yet they have not implemented a single intervention in the direction of finding out the cause of breast cancer. Why?
Whenever you google to find ways to prevent breast cancer you will find a million ways to screen breast cancer from the latest 3D mammography to new ultrasound techniques, X-rays and so on. After researching the current situation, here are the questions that I ask myself as a female physician and mother of 2 girls.
Shouldn’t the same questions bother you too?
Why is the focus more on breast cancer screening than on preventing breast cancer?
Why are breast cancer rates increasing in developed countries who have better access to health care?
Do we really think we can control our natural biological cycle merely by swallowing a pill (oral contraception pill - OCP) with no consequences?
Is the correlation between usage of OCP and incidence of breast cancer higher than reported?
What is the relationship of modern farming practices with rising incidence of breast cancer?
What is Hit & Sink phenomenon seen in most breast cancer victims?
Here are 9 Factors that can CAUSE breast cancer in women and most importantly many if addressed early can be prevented

1. Advancing age- it’s a well-known fact that age & immunity are inversely related meaning as we age, the number of mutations occurring in our body increases while there is a decrease in the immune powers to help counteract those mutations. Aging cannot be stopped but immunity can be reversed. (Immunity can be reinforced to a large extent by following the methods I teach in my programs).

2. Obesity & Lack of exercise- increase in body weight particularly mid abdominal circumference will convert the fat in the adipose tissue into estrogen. Currently America has 45% of the population being overweight (estimated to reach 50% in 2030) and hence breast cancer numbers are likely to grow in vast numbers. To understand more on how to incorporate healthy diet practices living in USA, read my book- Timeless Vitality Diet

3. Increased consumption of meat & dairy- farming industry everywhere around the western world is using the hormones (specifically female hormones) as discussed in length in chapter 9, 10. (in my book -The Why Behind Cancer) So increased consumption of such products will increase the estrogen load on the women’s body. Even today meat and dairy are a prominent part of western diet and this largely influences the incidence of breast cancer. The idea of veganism originated in the beginning of this century mainly to protest the widely used hormones and other strong preservatives, chemicals, antibiotics that distort the meat and dairy we consume and raise the risk for cancer.
4. OCP (oral contraceptive pills)- since this is the most effective method of contraception available in the market today, its widely used in western countries like USA (by 66% of reproductive age group women) and this disrupts the biological rhythm of the women’s menstrual cycle leading to rise in the synthetic estrogen inside the body. Other common conditions like precocious puberty, PCOS, PCOD, Insulin resistance, IVF procedures, random sexual encounters requiring emergency contraception, HRT(hormone replacement therapy) further complicates the estrogenic imbalance in women.
5. Genetics- genetic markers tests are available in the market now for testing the most common breast cancer mutations. However inherited genetic mutations are responsible for less than 10% of breast cancers. The drawback is that these markers cannot be of much use for other races besides Caucasians because genetic markers in non-Caucasians can vary widely and have not been studied thoroughly yet. It’s hard to extrapolate genetic studies done in western countries and apply them in a country like India or China where rates of breast cancer are still low. (1 in 22 in urban Indian woman and 1 in 60 in rural Indian woman)
6. Decrease in pregnancy and lactation- Since most women have become financially independent in the last 100 years, the number of women who opt for pregnancies and lactation has decreased phenomenally. In addition to this, with popular use of newer techniques like IVF (in vitro fertilization) & surrogacy has diminished the necessity to want pregnancy among couples because it’s now sold for a price. Pregnancy and lactation hormones have proven to be naturally protective to women’s breasts.
7. Stress leading to Hit & Sink Phenomenon- this has been explained in detail in chapter 8. (The unknown carcinogen). Urban capitalistic societies are increasingly driven to build stress in people’s lives, and this can lead to a rise not only in breast cancer but all types of cancers. many cancer victims grow up to be really nice people always trying to help others so much that they put their needs on back burner. They become so emotionally insecure and in order to deviate their attention they spend all their time and energy into their marriage or work or children rather than investing on themselves for fear of abandonment. This phenomenon is called hit and sink phenomenon, where the first wound occurs in childhood and still manageable without any grave illness, but when the same spot gets hit again as an adult, the entire psychological trauma begins to hit them back, only this time with a vengeance and disrupts the inner calm permanently.
8. Swadhisthana chakra blockage (fertility chakra) - most breast cancer victims seem to suffer from swadhisthana chakra blockage many years prior to the development of breast cancer. This is a subtle way of their body indicating them to cut back on weight or stress or hormones etc. which are toxic to swadhisthana chakra, but such symptoms often go unnoticed or not paid much attention to. Such women have faced increased problems earlier with fertility & menstruation like PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome), irregular period, uterine fibroids, fallopian tube blockage, difficulty to conceive, premature menopause, premenstrual syndrome, pregnancy related complication, complications during childbirth, recurrent abortions, frontal baldness in women, central obesity. If you or someone you know is struggling with such problems they will benefit from enrolling in chakra healing programs conducted by me.
9. Medications that suppress immunity- long term usage of certain medications like steroids, immunosuppressant, biologic agents (used in autoimmune diseases) and chemotherapy drugs used in other types of cancers and particularly used to treat autoimmune diseases can lead to suppression of the immunity in these women. This leads to development of potent genetic mutations that escape their weakened defense mechanisms.
In many cases, breast cancer develops from a combination of these interconnected factors rather than a single cause. To better understand your risk of breast cancer schedule an appointment with me using the link below.
