A Doctor’s Awakening

INTRODUCTION:

Why are so many people falling sick even with longer life spans, advanced hospitals, and cutting-edge treatments?

As a practicing physician, I celebrated the victories of modern medicine—until I noticed something deeply unsettling. Patients were living longer, but not living better. I saw rising stress, anxiety, chronic fatigue, and emotional numbness… all masked by prescriptions but never truly healed.

The real shift happened when I realized that healing isn't just about treating symptoms—it's about releasing suppressed emotions, aligning energy centers, and transforming how we live. That’s when I turned toward chakra healing and the deeper wisdom of consciousness.

This blog is my journey from diagnosing disease… to understanding its root. And why I believe it’s time to reinvent the wheel of healing—starting from within.

What inspired my shift from modern medicine to chakra healing?

According to the World Health Statistics 2019, global life expectancy has increased by 5.5 years, raising the average human lifespan to 72 years. But do these extra years truly translate into happier years?

The Global Happiness Report of 2018 tells a different story. The top three happiest countries were Finland (population 5.5 million), Denmark (5.6 million), and Norway (5.3 million)—all small, relatively homogenous nations. In contrast, larger and more populous countries ranked far lower: the UK (66.4 million) came in at 15th, the USA (327 million) at 19th, while India and China—each with over 1.3 billion people—ranked much lower on the happiness scale.

This contrast reveals a concerning trend: we may be living longer, but not necessarily living better. A significant portion of the global population is surviving more years without truly thriving, highlighting the urgent need to not only extend life, but also enhance its quality and emotional wellbeing.

A System Designed to Treat, Not to Heal

While modern medicine has made remarkable progress in eradicating many acute infectious diseases like polio, chickenpox, and leprosy, it has also seen a sharp rise in chronic and complex conditions—particularly in the fields of psychiatry, autoimmune disorders, and oncology. Ironically, modern healthcare seems to function most efficiently when viewed through the lens of a business model.

As more people suffer from chronic illnesses, hospitals become more crowded, healthcare industries expand, and pharmaceutical companies thrive. This fuels the funding of multimillion-dollar drug research projects and boosts the pharmaceutical market. However, while billions are poured into developing new medications, very little attention is paid to understanding the root causes or focusing on prevention of the very illnesses these drugs are designed to treat.

The Heart Behind the White Coat

But isn’t that the very purpose of becoming a doctor, chemist, or scientist in the first place? Isn’t that the reason why I dedicated over a decade to studying the human body—to help people live healthier, disease-free lives, not just mask symptoms with temporary fixes?

I’ve always held deep respect for modern allopathic medicine. That respect is what drew me in and inspired me to pursue it further. I’ve seen firsthand the incredible effort it takes—both by myself and my colleagues—to bring a patient from a critical, life-threatening state back to walking, talking, and functioning. It’s no small task, especially when it means sacrificing personal time, family moments, and rest.

The Silent Sacrifices of a Doctor

I remember those intense years during my residency—leaving home before my newborn son woke up, returning long after he had fallen asleep. There were weeks when I barely saw his face. We were expected to work 80-hour weeks, often stretching even longer when a patient was crashing. And in those moments, even when my shift ended, I hesitated to hand over care, knowing the fragility of a life hanging in the balance.

When Modern Medicine Meets Its Limits

In fields like orthopedics, ophthalmology, emergency medicine, obstetrics, and infectious diseases, modern medicine has made tremendous strides—saving countless lives through rapid diagnosis and effective treatment. These specialties are largely focused on acute, clearly defined issues, and the results speak for themselves.

However, when it comes to chronic conditions such as diabetes, cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel disease, and COPD, the gaps in modern medicine become painfully evident. The system is often not designed to address the root causes of these illnesses, but rather to manage symptoms with ongoing prescriptions and fragmented care.

The Missing Puzzle Piece: The Human Story

As a practicing physician, I also faced constraints imposed by insurance systems—limited time with patients, restricted diagnostic tools, and bureaucratic checklists. These limitations often leave little room to explore crucial aspects like family history, marital stress, emotional well-being, or social factors which can play a significant role in chronic disease.

This disconnect is deeply frustrating. I often feel like I’m layering diagnosis upon diagnosis, treating pieces rather than the whole person. One of the main reasons I’ve chosen to write this blog is to shine a light on these systemic limitations, and to help readers understand the challenges doctors face every day behind the scenes—challenges that directly impact the quality-of-care patients receive.

Awakening to the Inner Dimension

As I began to closely study the lives of certain patients, those living unconsciously, driven by external pressures and unresolved emotions—it became clear that many of their health issues stemmed from deeper, internal factors. These are influences that lie far beyond the reach of modern medicine to diagnose, explore, or truly understand.

I realized that without addressing these deeper layers of the mind—emotional trauma, psychological patterns, subconscious stressors—we cannot hope to offer lasting solutions. Ignoring these dimensions only adds to the growing burden of chronic illness in our communities, leaving both patients and physicians trapped in a cycle of temporary fixes.

Our Perception Limits Our Healing

This ultimately comes down to the fact that our intelligence is often limited by the programming of our own minds. If something doesn’t exist within our current level of awareness or perception, it becomes nearly impossible to recognize or understand—it remains oblivious to our understanding.

Faulty Thinking: The Hidden Root of Disease

Today, it’s clear to me that the root cause of much mental and physical tension is faulty thinking, especially in how we relate to other people and our environment. When our internal mindset is out of sync with the external world, it creates conflict. These internal disturbances often stem from deep-rooted emotions like fear, jealousy, hatred, self-pity, and distrust—many of which are imprinted early in life and buried in the subconscious.

These suppressed emotions keep the body and mind in a constant state of tension, slowly depleting our energy. This persistent inner stress disrupts vital physiological systems—circulatory, respiratory, and nervous—manifesting as what we commonly recognize today as stress-related conditions: anxiety, hypertension, insomnia, chronic fatigue, and even back pain.

Choosing Awareness Over Ignorance

Let us take a conscious oath—not to walk the path of ignorance that leads so many into unnecessary suffering. Instead, let us choose awareness. Starting today, let us commit to preventing and healing mental afflictions, and walking a path that leads us to higher levels of consciousness.

The True Rewards of Inner Peace

The inner peace you cultivate through this journey will provide a new and steady foundation from which you can face life—with calm, clarity, gratitude, and a deep sense of well-being. As true relaxation sets in, you'll begin to access the deeper realms of your subconscious mind, where the real roots of tension reside. Once these are released, you’ll find that you need fewer medications, fewer interventions—and in many cases, none at all—to live a long, vibrant life.

You will become a source of harmony for yourself and those around you. Instead of being a source of worry, you will radiate joy and stability. You’ll notice people appreciating you more, respecting your presence, and being drawn to your energy. Success will follow naturally—in your home, your career, and every other area of life.

You will grow into a fully conscious, content, and empowered individual—a true asset to your family, community, and the world. Life is profoundly beautiful—if only we learn how to live it wisely.

Final Takeaway: A Shift That Heals from Within

This journey from modern medicine to chakra healing wasn’t a rejection of science—it was a realization that true healing is incomplete without addressing the emotional and energetic roots of illness. Chronic conditions, suppressed emotions, and subconscious stressors are signals calling us inward.

Modern healthcare has saved countless lives, but it often overlooks the soul’s suffering. Chakra healing bridges that gap, inviting us to explore the mind-body-spirit connection with awareness, discipline, and compassion.

When we begin to live consciously—releasing tension from the body, rewiring the patterns of the mind, and realigning our energy—health becomes more than the absence of disease. It becomes a state of deep peace, presence, and purpose.

Because life is not just about living longer… it’s about living better. And that journey begins within.
