Sacral Chakra Blockage: Is It Difficult to Treat?

sacral chakra blockage

Before delving into the concept of the sacral chakra, it is important to acknowledge that this particular energy center is associated with the hormone estrogen, often referred to as the feminine hormone. However, it is crucial to note that the sacral chakra's significance extends beyond femininity alone. It also symbolizes sensuality, beauty, and the inherent nourishing qualities that reside within the feminine body.

3 Types of Sacral Chakra Blockage Problems

1. Fertility issues

When the sacral chakra experiences blockages, it can manifest in various health issues specifically related to fertility. Conditions such as PCOD (polycystic ovarian disease), uterine fibroids, difficulties in conceiving, premenstrual syndrome, menstrual pain, body aches or migraines related to menstruation, and even postmenopausal symptoms can be connected to imbalances in this chakra.

The complete spectrum of disorders affecting the uterus, ovaries, and fallopian tubes can be influenced by the state of the sacral chakra. It is important to address and restore balance to this energy center to promote overall reproductive health.

2. Bowel issues

It is noteworthy that another group of illnesses commonly observed in females are related to bowel issues, particularly in young women between the ages of 20 to 40. Conditions such as irritable bowel syndrome and eating disorders like anorexia nervosa and bulimia often manifest in this age range. These disorders are not solely caused by stress but also involve one's own identity and self-perception.

Women who experience distress in their marital relationships, lack of love or attention from their male partners, and suffer from extreme body shaming or sexual image disorders may develop a fear of eating or fear of gaining weight, leading to these conditions.

Princess Diana, for instance, had battled with bulimia. It is important to note that these illnesses often do not find complete resolution solely through modern medicine.

They require a comprehensive understanding of one's own body and, most importantly, acceptance of its imperfections. This understanding begins with grasping the true meaning of swadhisthana, the sacral chakra.

3. Identity issues

The last group of illnesses is quite complex, and we expect to see a significant increase in the coming years and that is gender identity disorders. These conditions involve individuals feeling uncomfortable or unsuited in their own bodies and gender identities.

Treating these disorders can be extremely challenging, which is why many people opt for gender transformation surgeries. These surgeries are not only physically painful but also involve a profound emotional struggle, especially when it comes to dealing with close family members.

I recently encountered a case where a mother approached me with depression after her adult daughter, in her 30s, underwent a bilateral mastectomy (removal of both breasts) to transition into a male due to being in a new homosexual relationship.

This decision came as a surprise to the parents, as the daughter had only been in heterosexual relationships in the past. They struggled to comprehend how she could gather the courage to undergo such a major surgery without prior indications of homosexuality.

The sudden nature of the decision and the disfiguring effects of the surgery left close family members with little time to process and adjust. In fact, the disfigurement caused by such surgeries can even deter breast cancer survivors from considering them.

Understanding Swadhisthana Chakra

Swadhisthana, in essence, represents our inner home. No matter where we travel or vacation, it is within ourselves that we ultimately seek solace and comfort. Our internal home provides us with a sense of maternal nurturing, even if it lacks modern luxuries and amenities.

Similarly, if we fail to embrace and become accustomed to our own physical bodies, including our sexual organs, and instead focus on perceived flaws, scars, love handles, or other imperfections reflected in the mirror, we will never achieve complete self-acceptance.

True acceptance arises when we recognize and appreciate the unique gifts bestowed upon us, honoring and embracing every part of our body, including those elements that may not fit society's definition of perfection, as they are an inherent part of who we are.

While it is important to seek appropriate medical treatment for wounds or diseases, subjecting oneself to painful surgeries purely for the sake of fulfilling pleasure-seeking desires is not acceptable.

We must distinguish between necessary medical interventions and unnecessary procedures driven by personal preferences.

If we consider surgery or body part removal as a valid solution, then individuals with self-harming behaviors due to suicidal tendencies may argue that their actions are justified, and we would have no right to prevent them from harming themselves.

Similarly, individuals with borderline personality disorders or even rapists who engage in violent sexual practices may also argue for their actions. It becomes crucial to establish boundaries and draw a line.

Achieving this balance requires a deep understanding of our swadhisthana chakra and its significance.
